DESCRIPTION:Oddfellows Playhouse Youth Theater announces auditions for the Junior Repertory Company mainstage production of The Lion\, the Witch and the Wardrobe. \n\n\n\nAuditions will be held on Monday\, December 12 and Thursday\, December 15\, 4:30 - 6:30pm\, at Oddfellows Playhouse\, 128 Washington Street in Middletown. Auditions are open to all young people ages 12 - 14. \n\nYoung people wishing to audition must pre-register for one of the two audition dates by contacting the Playhouse. Auditioners do not need to prepare anything\, but should arrive on time\, dress to move\, and plan on staying for the entire 2 hours. Auditions will include movement\, improvisation\, and readings from the script. Everyone who auditions and commits to the rehearsal and production schedule will be cast in the show!\n\nThe Lion\, the Witch and the Wardrobe\, adapted by Joseph Robinette from the book by C.S Lewis\, follows 4 siblings who mistakenly wander through a wardrobe into the Land of Narnia. There they become caught up in a fierce battle between the lion Aslan and the White Witch\, and all kinds of adventures ensue.\n \n\nRehearsals will be Mondays and Thursdays\, 4:30 - 6:30pm starting January 9\, 2023. There will be technical rehearsal March 11 & daily rehearsals\, March 13 - 15. Performances will be March 16 - 18 at 7 pm\, with a 2 pm matinee performance on Saturday\, March 18.\n\nTo register for the audition\, or for more information\, call (860) 347-6143 or email info@oddfellows.org. Tuition for Junior Repertory Theater is $300. Financial aid is available for anyone who needs it. No one is turned away for inability to pay.
