Did you know? - Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. - Volunteer donors are the only source of blood and platelets for those in need of transfusions. - Donated blood is perishable. Red blood cells have a shelf life of only 42 days and platelets just five days, so they must constantly be replenished. - Eligible donors can feel good knowing that by donating through the Red Cross they may be helping patients not only in their community, but also family and friends across the nation. We need your help to replenish blood supplies in CT.
