Middlesex Businesswomen's Alliance (MBA)

February’s Program will be an ALL networking event

So be sure to bring your business cards and be prepared to use your networking techniques you have learned from our past programs.

Wear your name badge on your right side so people can see your name when you greet them; have your business cards in hand; have a smile on your face; and a friendly, positive attitude.  Plan out your goals ahead of time--do you want to meet 5 or 10 new people this evening? Target the key individuals you would like to meet. Get others to introduce you to people. Move on after five minutes with one person. Meet as many people as you can.  Refer others to people that may be of interest to them and their businesses.  Ask the 5 “W” questions, who, what, where, when and why. Be a good listener. Gather and give away valuable information. Remember, do NOT SELL.  Set up appointments or a time for phone calls. Follow-up your leads. Remember networking is an acquired skill.  In order to be a good networker you must practice, practice, and practice.
