Despite the most uncertain of seasons in 2020-21 that included stops and starts, shutdowns and restarts, cancellations, postponements and rescheduling, UConn men’s basketball coach Dan Hurley continued to move the program forward.
 
The Huskies had three lengthy shutdowns and 10 games either cancelled or postponed, but still they posted the best winning percentage (.652) of Hurley’s three years at UConn, finished third in their first season back in the BIG EAST Conference, cracked the Top 25, and, perhaps most importantly, earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in five years. The influx of talent from a third consecutive Top 20 recruiting class promises to keep the Huskies’ trajectory on the rise in Year Four of the Hurley Era.

UConn’s 15-8 record in 2020-21, which included Hurley’s milestone 200th career coaching victory, lifted his 11-year coaching record to 201-142 (.586) and his mark at UConn to 50-37 (.575).
